Medical emergencies CPD online for dental practice
The GDC highly recommends at least 10 hours of medical emergencies CPD in each five-year cycle, and at least two hours every year. Incisal’s dental CPD online covers prevention, the emergency kit, common collapses, and BLS knowledge — and states clearly that e-learning does not replace hands-on simulation.
Written for dental surgeries, not generic ward algorithms copied wholesale
Medical emergencies are uncommon until they are not. The GDC expects every team member to know their role, the location of kit, and how to act. Knowledge CPD keeps the theory current between the practical sessions your practice must still run.
What the Incisal course covers
Practice preparedness and medical history, emergency drugs and equipment as Resuscitation Council UK currently describes them, common in-surgery events, and BLS/AED principles with documentation and duty of candour. Doses are not invented in the e-learning — you are pointed at live guidance.
