Why dental professionals search for dental CPD online
The GDC requires every registered dental professional to complete verifiable Enhanced CPD. That used to mean evenings of travel, mixed providers, and a folder of PDFs that never quite matched the hours on the tracker. Dental CPD online exists so you can complete quality-assured learning around a clinical list — then prove it when you are asked.
Incisal is not a generic healthcare LMS with a dental tab. Every course is written for dentistry: the surgery, the team, UK regulation, and the GDC cycle you actually have to finish. You browse the library, complete modules at your own pace, reflect, and keep a record that is ready for an audit or a GDC request.
What you get that a course catalogue cannot do on its own
A library of modules is only half of Enhanced CPD. The GDC also expects a Personal Development Plan, activities linked to development outcomes, and reflection that shows the learning was relevant to your field of practice. Incisal puts those pieces in one place so the admin does not sit on the principal or the practice manager.
- Unlimited online dental CPD in one annual membership — not a charge per certificate
- Guided PDP with learning needs matched to courses
- Reflection captured at the end of every course and stored with the record
- External certificates can be logged so the tracker is complete
- Practice admins can see who is on track without a shared spreadsheet
GDC recommended topics, covered without the scramble
The GDC publishes highly recommended CPD topics because they protect patients. Incisal covers the subjects practices search for most: medical emergencies, disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection (IR(ME)R), legal and ethical issues, complaints handling, oral cancer: early detection, and safeguarding.
Hours targets are built into the way we structure the library — for example at least 10 hours of medical emergencies across a five-year cycle, with regular refreshers, and five hours of radiography and radiation protection if you take or report radiographs. You should always check the current GDC guidance for your role.
Online CPD that still counts as verifiable
Online does not mean informal. Incisal courses have stated aims, learning outcomes, GDC development outcomes, an assessment, and a certificate that includes the details the GDC expects providers to show: subject, hours, date, participant name, outcomes, and confirmation that the activity was quality assured.
That is the difference between watching a video and holding verifiable CPD. If you are comparing providers, ask whether the certificate would stand up if the GDC asked for evidence. Ours is written so that it does.
Built for practices that are tired of platform sprawl
Large practice platforms often sell CPD as one module inside a wider compliance suite. That can work if you already buy the whole stack. Many dentists, associates, and smaller teams just need excellent dental CPD online, a PDP, and a record they can export — without paying for software they will not use.
Incisal is that focused product. Start as an individual. Add the team when you are ready. Keep every certificate in one wallet. Generate the report when you need it.
